February 1, 1930 – December 18, 2016 (Age 86)
Ian is survived by his children Keith (Cheryl) and Kathy (Keely Brown); grandchildren, Kallie, Spencer, Kaia and Jake; and sister-in-law Dorothy Yeats.
Ian’s wife, Dorothy, of 58 years recently passed away on December 8.
Ian was also predeceased by his parents Edward and Joan, sister Joan (Henry) Schnell and brother Edward.
Ian was born in Aberdeen, Scotland then moved to his family farm northwest of Coronation where he spent his life’s work as a farmer.
He attended school at Whitaker School and enjoyed sports and coaching hockey.
Ian served on the Coronation Seed Plant board for several years. He was hard-working and dedicated his life to family and farming.
Ian was loved by many and will be missed by family and friends.
There will be a celebration of Ian’s life on Fri. Dec. 23 at the Coronation Community Center at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us for a memorial luncheon.
