Winds whip through east central Alberta

 

Winds whipped through Alberta Tues. Oct. 17 fueling fast moving wildfires in southern Alberta, leading to many evacuations, loss of farms and livestock.

 

 

 

 

Many truckers struggled in keeping their rigs on the road, power outages, damaged trees, and buildings including a large portion of the arena in Cereal, Ab.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 100 – 113 km/hr. winds blew over five CN train cars on the trestle near Wainwright and another 28 rail cars carrying 56 Sea Cans near Huxley, Ab. were blown off the tracks.
