1944 ~ 2018
Carol Marian Wiens, born Jan. 25, 1944, passed away surrounded by family on May 13, 2018, at the age of 74 years.
Carol is survived by her five children: Angela (Adam), Jae, Sharon, Robynne (Andrew) and Eric (Amy); six grandchildren: Kyran, Brenna, Drew, Laura, Sarah and Grace; her siblings: Don (Barb) Anderson, Allan Anderson and sister-in-law Ellen Anderson.
Carol was predeceased by her husband Robert; her parents Marian Anderson and Edwin Anderson; her siblings Marlene Anderson and Gerald Anderson; son-in-law Kenneth McGillion; and granddaughter Allison Wiens.
Carol gathered many people close to her heart: nieces, nephews, cousins, and those she met along the way.
Carol was a foster parent for 20 years. Diane and Beatrice Houle are still considered family.
Carol saw the beauty in everyone she met.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Hanna Community Centre on Tues. May 22, 2018, with interment at St. George’s Catholic Cemetery, Hanna, Ab.
