Endmoor Floor Curling Club began their 2015-16 season in October with several members taking part in bonspiels in Castor, Botha and Stettler.

On Nov. 16 the Endmoor club held a mixed funspiel at the Endiang hall with 48 curlers from surrounding districts taking part.

Players were from Hanna, Delia, Big Valley, Stettler, Botha, Gadsby, Halkirk, Castor and Endiang.

A Funspiel is different than a regular ‘spiel where teams enter as a foursome.

In a Funspiel, players enter their names prior to the ‘spiel and names are drawn to make up the teams of four.

Curling begins at 9:30 a.m. and each team plays three games with breaks between games and scores kept.

Lunch is served and coffee, juice and goodies are provided throughout the day.

At the end of the day every player gets a prize and the winning team is announced.

The Endmoor club will be having another mixed funspiel on Feb. 29.

This will be a ‘Sadie Hawkins Day’ ‘spiel and ladies will be skipping all the teams.

To add to the fun, costumes are encouraged for the day.
