Mary-Ann White 1951-2022

Great love of music, dancing and laughter

It is with great sadness the family of Mary-Ann White (nee Richard) announce her passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born Sept. 30, 1951 in Minto New Brunswick, Mary-Ann passed away at Red Deer Hospice Aug. 15, 2022 with family present

She was born and raised in Minto, New Brunswick but after meeting husband Philip, there were many new towns, adventures and many new friends to be made from New Brunswick to Alberta and back again.

Mary-Ann and Philip celebrated 49 years together on July 7 of this year. She enjoyed time together with family and friends, often times counting dear friends as family members.

Mary-Ann had a great love of music, dancing and laughter and had quite possibly the most memorable laugh you’ve ever heard. On at least two occasions, police came running when they heard her laugh, sure that someone was in distress, only to find Mary-Ann laughing so hard she could hardly breathe.

She lived life to the fullest and took every opportunity she could to be at the beach or in the ocean. Mary-Ann’s idea of heaven was a picture perfect sandy beach on a clear blue day. Though we are sad to see her go, we’re glad she will now get to relax on her perfect sandy beach.

She is pre-deceased by brother Delore Richard and son Ross White and survived by husband Philip and daughter Michelle White.
Memorial service arrangements are being made through Kneehill Funeral Services.
