Approximately five weather related accidents involving one or more vehicles has kept emergency services busy today.

A single-vehicle rollover on Highway 599 near Highway 872 and range road 10-4 happened at 11:15 a.m. this morning.

An off-duty firefighter was first at the scene.

RCMP and the local fire department were dispatched.

No injuries were reported.

Two other accidents have occurred in the Coronation detachment area including a multi-vehicle collision west of Halkirk and the other along Highway 12 near Highway 874.

One accident has been reported in the Consort area as well.

Coronation and Castor Acting Detachment Commander, Chad Salmi is asking drivers to remain cautious during this time.

“It’s getting colder and things are freezing so the roads are extremely icy. I’d recommend caution. If you don’t have to go, don’t go,” he said.
