Wardlow youth becomes National High School Rodeo Finals World Champion

Kendal Pierson of Wardlow, Alta. is this year’s National High School Rodeo Finals Rodeo Breakaway World Champion. She attended the international event held at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA which took place from July 18 to July 24, 2021. On the final night, Pierson made an incredible time of 2.13 seconds, landing her in first place both for the final performance and average at 7.04 out of 136 competitors in that category. This is the first time since 2003 an Albertan has become World Champion and Pierson is the sixth Canadian to win a title since 2000.
