Gordon Stanley Vigen
1932 – 2023
Gordon passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 30, 2023 at the age of 91, while residing in the Royal Oak Village in Lacombe, Alta.
Gordon is survived by his three daughters, Geri (Gregg) Knight, Wendy (Bill) Holman and Linda (Cecil) Yates; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Marie in 2019; parents George and Selma Vigen; sisters Agnes and Evelyn.
Gordon lived a full life with his family farming south of Castor. He supplemented the farm with a variety of jobs which included water well drilling, auction market penning, running a grader and delivering cream. Even though he was busy working, he always found time for camping, fishing, curling, hunting and woodworking.
A private graveside service is planned for a later date.
