
When he and his wife retired in 1974, they moved into Castor. He worked at Home Hardware for a few years and helped his son-in-law, Fritz Grob on the farm in the spring and fall and did carpentry in the basement for a few years as well. He loved to garden and had a very lovely tulip garden beside the house in Castor. Mamie and Arnold loved to go camping and spent many days up north at Whitney Lakes visiting with relatives, friends and camping. Predeceased by his wife, Mamie in February of 1999; his mother, Minnie; father, George; two brothers; two sisters; five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Arnold is survived by his children: Gerald Granger, Violet Glowitski, Dennis (Lorna) Granger, Arthur (Sally) Granger, Kittie (Fritz) Grob and Katie Granger; Grandchildren: Kevin Granger, Tammy (Rod) Easy, Anne Dingwall, Sandy Stolson, Vernon Glowitski, Lee Glowitski, Amber (Russel) Palmateer, Shawn Granger and Felicity (Wayne) Delorme.
Also Kyee Granger, Melissa (Jason) Eklund, Marcus Grob, Wayne (Holly) Grob, Fritz (Crystal) Grob, Ryan (Carmen) Granger and Jen (Lyle) Laybourne.
Great grandchildren: Paige, Wyatt, Brittany, Chelsea, Morgan, Courtney, Timmy, Danielle, Kayla, Haydon, Layton, Dustin, Liam, Skylar, Bellana, Shey, Kitana, Kadense, Thane, Skyla, Desteny, Livia, McKayla, Nevada, Dominic, Raymond, Joshua, Mamie, Damion and Gordon.
Graveside services were held at Bulwark Cemetery on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 with Pastor Jim Culham officiating. Family and friends gathered in the Castor Community Hall for a time of sharing and a luncheon prepared by Marilyn Polege and friends.
