Coronation School Jr. High rock band, “URBAN HAZZARD” placed second in the community band category at the 8th annual “Battle of the Bands” held in Consort School Friday, April 8. The band is comprised of grade 8 students, from the left, back row: Dylan Brown, Gibson Osetsky, Jo Brigley, Felicity Mears and Mr. D. (K-Dawg) Kinakin, the band-coach. Front row: Tristen Shaw, Aiden Kobi and Jaron Scribner. Taking home a beautiful plaque, three band members also won individual medals for showcasing their instrument/singing skills. Urban Hazzard is now working on adding to their repertoire of songs with plans to perform more in the spring.
