Torrington Gun Show a roaring success

The 11th annual Torrington Gun Show was a treat for visitors who graced the Ron Gorr Memorial Arena in Torrington on Sat. and Sun. Aug. 25 – 26.

The two-day event showcased a wide variety of guns and gun focused tools and accessories and more for enthusiastic guests.

This year’s show was just under the 1,000 visitor mark which has shown an upward trend in numbers compared to last year according to Stan Taylor, organizer and founder of the event.

“We are very happy,” began Taylor. “We had a very active crowd. The sales were good and my exhibitors were all quite happy. A lot of interest, it was a good show.”

The organizers have already begun preparing for the 12th annual show coming next year.

“It was a success again. We are very pleased. I’ve had some quite complimentary comments passed on and so everything is good,” said Taylor.

“The sun isn’t shining necessarily but everything else is rosy.”
