Hanna and Oyen Fish and Wildlife officers received a call in regards to a cow and calf moose found dead in a rancher’s field just south of the Village of Cereal, Alta, on September 12, 2019.

Upon investigation, it was determined the moose were shot and left.

On September 24, 2019, Fish and Wildlife Officers received another call for the same field location of a yearling moose found dead in a dugout about 200 meters west of where the first two moose were found.

An investigation of the yearling moose carcass determined it was most likely shot during the same time as the cow and calf.

In total, three moose were shot and left.

Officers are seeking any information in regards to this investigation.
