Fun today, flight tomorrow. Gavin Harris checks while Pilot Slater Penna demonstrates the need to test tail elevators before flight. Gavin was one of 20 children who toured the Prairie Aviation Training Center at the Three Hills Airport August 15. As part of the Three Hills Child Care Center’s fun-and-learn summer program, the children, most of whom had never been near an airplane, saw the school’s large maintenance hangar and received one-on-one cockpit introductions in the Piper Seneca 2 twin-engine plane.
