For 58-year-old Robert Siebens of Three Hills, Alta., carving has been in his blood for as long as he can remember—everything from ice and watermelon banquet decorations to old tree stumps that want to fly like an eagle. Siebens, a resident school survivor, said Oct. 23 he enjoys carving “for the fun of it.”
