Theft in Castor


Coronation RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect(s) responsible for the theft of 12 large antique wagon wheels from a rural property southeast of the town of Castor.

Eight of the wagon wheels reported stolen were described to be made of wood and the remaining four of steel. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime in the month of March.


Castor Break and enter  

Coronation RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying suspects responsible for an break and enter at OK Tire on 50 Ave. in Castor.  Between the 5:50 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on April 2, 2016 suspects broke into the property however no property is believed to have been stolen.

Surveillance video shows a blue Dodge pickup truck towing a large white trailer and a white Chev/GMC truck along with two suspects. Surveillance images are attached. Police suspect the same individuals may be responsible for a break-in and theft at that same location last month.


Fatal pedestrian and motor vehicle collision
On April 12, 2016 at approximately 1:41 pm, Wainwright RCMP and emergency services responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Range Road 81, west of the Town of Wainwright.

Preliminary investigation indicates a head on collision occurred between a Van and SUV resulting in one fatality.  A second person, with serious injuries was air lifted by STARS Air Ambulance to Edmonton.

Highway 14 is currently closed and traffic flow is being diverted around the collision scene.

The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.

Wainwright RCMP along with an RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate.


Wainwright armed robbery

Wainwright RCMP have identified the suspects responsible for the armed robbery in Wainwright on April 4, 2016.

On April 4th, 2016 at 2:51pm, the Wainwright RCMP responded to a call of an Armed Robbery with a Firearm at G&B Fuels/Anna’s Restaurant located in Wainwright, AB.   As a result of the investigation, Wainwright RCMP have identified two people in relation to the robbery.

Arrest warrants have been issued for:

Zane Stewart POLLOM, 31 yr old male from the Camrose area has been charged with:
Robbery with a firearm
Theft under $5000
Wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Pointing a firearm
Using a firearm for the purpose of committing an indictable offence

Chanda Dawn STEHR,  25 yr old female from the Camrose area has been charged with:
Robbery with a firearm
Wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
Theft under $5000

At this time the Wainwright RCMP have not been able to locate POLLOM and STEHR.  If you see them please contact your local police agency immediately.   Do not approach them as they are considered to be armed and dangerous.
