Donald Edwin Templar
1935-2015
It’s with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Donald Edwin Templar announces his sudden passing. Don passed on June 12, 2015 at the University Hospital in Edmonton, Ab. with his family by his side at the age of 80.
Don was born in Hanna, Ab. January 25, 1935. He was the only son of Harry and Viola (Hickle) Templar. At the age of 14 months the family moved to England for two years before moving back to Canada. He was raised on his grandparent’s farm near Roselynn, Ab. where he resided his entire life.
In 1954 Don met the love of his life, Norma Quast and after dating for three years they were married on June 15, 1957 in Hanna, Ab. On Sept. 14, 1958 their first son, Christopher John was born. On March 17, 1960 their daughter, Sherryann Gwen was born. On June 30, 1962 their second son, Quinn Gordon was born. On July 30, 1972 their third son, Warren Scott completed their family.
Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all.
Don’s Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Hanna Community Centre at 2 pm.
