Tanker on semi-trailer flips on Highway 21, traffic to be diverted for next several hours

Earlier today Three Hills RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle collision just south of Three Hills, Alta.

A semi-tractor with two tankers carrying diesel was travelling northbound on Highway 21, lost traction and the second tanker slid off the road into the ditch and flipped.

Traffic will be diverted for the next several hours while the scene is cleaned up.

Northbound traffic is being diverted at Township Road 314.

Southbound traffic is being diverted at Highway 583.

Highway conditions in the area have been reported as icy and slick.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes as well as slow down and drive to the highway conditions.

There are no injuries and no additional risk to the public. A further update will be provided once traffic flow resumes on Highway 21 between Highway 583 and Township Road 314.
