Suspicious vehicle complaint leads to arrest of two Stettler males in Consort

Consort RCMP have arrested two males for drug and weapon offences following the report of a suspicious vehicle.

On March 14, 2021 at 1:06 p.m., Consort RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the back alley on 52 Street in Consort, Alta.

Police located the vehicle and upon further investigation the vehicle was searched and the driver and passenger were arrested.

Inside the vehicle police located a loaded revolver, drug paraphernalia and what is believed to be methamphetamine. 

A 29-year-old male from Stettler, Alta. has been charged with: Trafficking an illegal substance; Possession of a prohibited weapon; Possess break in instrument and Fail to comply (x3).

A 49-year-old male from Stettler, Alta. has been charged with: Trafficking an illegal substance; Possession of a prohibited weapon and Possess of a break in instrument.

Both males have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Coronation Provincial Court on May, 14, 2021.

Police thank the public for reporting suspicious people and activity, as these calls help direct police patrols.
