Coronation Designated Supportive Living (DSL), formerly called Assisted Living, held a Volunteer Tea on Wed. April 17 together with the local Sunshine Ladies Club holding their last bingo at DSL after 52 years!

DSL residents, Long Term Care (LTC) residents and volunteers participated.

The Sunshine club originated in 1962/64.  Bubbles Bullick is the remaining charter member with other members being Marie Woody, Pat Watson, Teresa Gerber and Terry Perry.

In 1972 the club started doing monthly bingos at DSL, providing lunch and welcome visits for our residents and Long Term Care residents.

The Sunshine Club members are thankful for Marie Woody for faithfully carrying on with bingo during COVID times when few helpers were available.

Residents and staff are thankful for the years of commitment to their facility.

The meaning of the metaphor ‘You are my Sunshine’…the person makes you feel warm, bringing light to your life and puts you in a better mood!

This was accomplished during the time the Sunshine Club served DSL and LTC residents in Coronation.
