Sunshine Club annual report

The Sunshine Club of Coronation had another great year and kicked it off with a Chinese Supper and a Court Whist Tournament held at the condo in Coronation in January.
During the year they made their usual donations to the Music Festival, Stars, the Handibus, Best stories Grade 1, 2 and 3 and Grade 4, 5 and 6 at the Coronation Fair and also the Math 30 award at the Coronation School which was presented to Amber Burkinshaw.
At the November meeting members  brought toiletries to be donated to the Women’s Shelter in Red Deer.
They prepared soup and sandwich lunch for the workers and judges at the Fair and organized the Money Pit for the children on Fair Day.
In September they welcomed Tracey Checkel to the Club.
The third Wednesday of each month, except August, they go to the Assisted Living to play bingo with the residents.  They take turns bringing lunch to share with them also.
December 17 they held their Christmas pot-luck supper at the Golden Age Centre.
The Executive for 2017 is president – Anna Rodvang, vice-president – Pat Watson and secretary – Bubbles Bullick.
