Sun dog

Cold temperatures, hovering around -20 Celsius with the wind chill taking it closer to  -30 degrees, ground drifting and sun dogs on Sunday, Feb. 2 tell the story for the beginning of this week. A sun dog is a bright spot to one or both sides of the Sun, caused by the refraction of sunlight by ice crystals in the atmosphere. ECA Review/J.Webster
