Still in Stettler

Written by ECA Review

We are still in Stettler! However, on a sad note for 2024, the ECA Review office closed its Stettler office effective Dec. 31 mainly because we did not have a great deal of walk-in clients.

In this day and age, most of our business is handled by phone, email and even texting. Seeing an overall drop in advertising revenue in 2023, it has become increasingly obvious that the added expense of a satellite office was too taxing on our bottom line.

With all the entities attacking newspaper bottom lines, including the online giants such as Google and Meta, but also Canada Post, it has become inevitable that we must start looking for savings.

It was hard making this decision however we want to stay viable and continue what we love to do best, and that is serving east central Alberta with news and a platform for our many readers who want to feel newsprint in their fingers when reading their newspaper.

In a world of “working from home”, we are still present in Stettler and have been for many many years. Reporter/photograher Stu Salkeld is working from his home in Stettler and Judy Walgenbach, our marketing rep is working from her home in Erskine.

See all their contact information in the masthead at the bottom of this page.

All the best in 2024 to all our clients, readers and friends.
