The Redcore Enterprises Storm took on icy roads and the Pierceland Panthers in a battle across the border on Saturday, January 4.

Stettler got on the board less than seven minutes in when Kierra Scollo set Kelsie Litke up for the first goal of the game. Stettler scored again at 5:42 of the first when Miranda Storch and Kelsie Litke combined to set up Kierra Scollo.

Scollo scored her second of the period banging in a rebound on a shot taken by Morgan Van Dusen, giving the Storm a 3 – 0 lead at the end of one.

In the second period Geri Slemp added to the lead, Jessie Anderson and Morgan Van Dusen got the helpers.

In the third period  Pierceland finally got on the board when Krysta Warrington  took advantage of a Stettler defensive breakdown, scoring in a two on one. Late in the period with Stettler on the power play Makayla Peters and Jayden Hogg set Harlee Avramenko up for the final goal of the game.

Lindsay McKinnon got the win in a 5 – 1 final. Next up the girls travel to Cold Lake to take on the league leading Jaguars.
