Stettler RCMP seek third suspect in residential break-in

Stettler RCMP took two females into custody following an early morning break and enter on Feb. 18.

A third suspect has not been located.

At 7:25 a.m., Stettler RCMP responded to a call that a homeowner observed a break in at their cabin at Rochon Sands.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m., Stettler and Bashaw RCMP members were on scene.

Residents in the area provided information about a truck which crashed and observed three suspects flee from the truck.

Police Dog Services attended and successfully tracked two female suspects to a garage where they were arrested without incident.

An RCMP helicopter was deployed to assist in the search for all involved suspects.

The third suspect, an unidentified male, was not located.

The truck was seized by the RCMP. 

It contained various stolen property and was confirmed to have been stolen the previous evening out of Red Deer.

Tamara Lynn Ann Phyllis Blair (30) of Red Deer is charged with break and enter to a residence, possession of property obtained by crime, obstruct a police office and fail to comply with a condition of an undertaking.

At the time of her arrest, Blair was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants out of Red Deer.

Amanda Ray Metro (33) of Bentley is charged with break and enter to a residence, possession of property obtained by crime, fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with a probation order (x2).

Both Metro and Blair were remanded in custody.

They are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Stettler on Feb. 27, 2020.

The Stettler RCMP continue to investigate thefts in Rochon Sands believed to be related.

They also continue to seek information about the male involved in the break and enter.

He was dressed in blue jeans, a grey hoodie and had a jacket on with white lettering on the back.

Residents in Rochon Sands are asked to check their home surveillance cameras for anyone on the camera matching that description.
