Stettler District 4-H brings home the beef

Hannah Elines was named Grand Champion at this years Stettler District Show and Sale. Her steers selling weight with a three per cent shrinkage was 1364 pounds and sold for $4.70 per pound.
TJ Tankers bought the steer. The animals Average Daily Gain was 3.19 pounds per day.
Reserve Grand Champion went to Eric Elines for his steer that weighed in at a sale weight of 1670 pounds. Hanna Motor Products bought the steer for $2.60 per pound. Eric’s steer had the highest Average Daily Gain in the district at $4.06 pounds per day.

The Big Knife Beef Club became the Pen of Five Champions during the Stettler District 4-H Show and Sale. Joseph Ventnor, in his 10th and final year as a Big Knife Beef Club member, won first in senior district team grooming, tied with Austin Jacobson; second in District Showmanship: Reserve Club Champion: and Most Dedicated Member in the club. Ventnor’s favourite part of being a senior is helping the younger group. ECA Review/Submitted
