Steffan

Gayle Patricia Steffan (nee Suntjens) was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and neighbour. She left this world at the age of 69 on Oct. 21, 2021 in Red Deer, Alta. surrounded by family.

She was born and raised a true farm girl and was proud of her Dutch and Scottish heritage.

She moved to Red Deer after meeting her husband, Ken Steffan, started a family and graduated from high school.

Gayle had a love for customer service and spent many years helping people during her career at Service Canada.

Her positive attitude, wit and ability to find the humour in any situation meant that she made friends wherever she went.

Gayle always loved to host and have friends and family surround her; she made many lasting friendships from her time in Dress Club and Oil Wives.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years Ken Steffan, her three children Dean (Tanya Landiak) Steffan, Kari (Greg Dushscherer) McTaggart, and Kevin (Kim) Steffan; grandchildren Riley (Maddie) Anderson, Arielle (Brandon) Ledgerwood, Blaine Steffan, Caeleb McTaggart, Tyler Steffan, Tayler Steffan, Joshua McTaggart, Lewis Duchscherer and Kensington Duchscherer; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Ian Suntjens and Lee Suntjens.
