Long time resident families and two one-room country schools in the Spondin area south of Coronation were recognized with the creation and mounting of two signs, one for the Grand Ridge School along Hwy. 586 beside John Suntjens farm and one marking the location of the Bentley Hiram School along Hwy. 872 near the Ray Suntjens farm. (Felix) Toot and Ray Suntjens, grandsons of Henry Suntjens Sr. were on hand for a photo the day the signs were erected by the Spondin Agricultural Society. The Society has embarked on erecting signs marking the locations of country schools of the past as well as new signs for two country cemeteries. ECA Review/Submitted
