Spectacular Hanna Car Parade

Written by Terri Huxley

People of Hanna and beyond made a spectacle of a night on Fri. Aug. 7. Despite rainy conditions persisting throughout the afternoon, a large trail of unique and vintage rides were put on display throughout town that evening. Even local band Shotgun Wedding was seen in the mix as their stage was hauled around in the procession. The Drive-In Theatre portion has been postponed. Seen here is Stephen Dietrich of Hanna burning some rubber in his 1986 Chevy Short Box. An online gallery of most of the participants can be found online at ecareview.com under the ‘feature’ tab.

Terri grew up on a grain farm near Drumheller, Alberta with an eye for the beautiful and uncharted. Living in such a unique and diverse area has helped her become the photographer and reporter she is today.

Coming from the East Central region getting this newspaper on her dinner table growing up, it helped her understand the community she now serves.

In May 2019, Terri was awarded Alberta Weekly Newspaper Association (AWNA) Canada's Energy Citizens Photographic Awards Sports Action – First Place as well as first for the same sports action image nationally with the Canadian Community Newspaper Association (CCNA).
