It is with heavy heart that the family of Eric Snowden announces his passing. He slipped away peacefully on Fri. May 10 at the age of 78 years.
Eric was born on Aug. 4, 1945 in Paradise Hill, Sask. to Cecil and Elsie Snowden. He started life on his parent’s farm at Deer Creek and later moved to Lloydminster where Eric spent his formative years.
Eric met his loving wife of 53 years, Frances McParland in Edmonton. Soon after their marriage, Eric and Fran moved to Saskatoon where their four sons Sean, Stacy, Shamus and Patrick were born.
Eric and his family moved to Stettler in 1981 where Eric captured his dream job as a grain agent for the Parrish and Heimbecker elevator until 2003.
Eric loved his family and was so proud of them. He taught his children many values that they now possess and will be forever missed.
He loved life in the community of Stettler where he made many friends through his work and his love of horse racing, acting, cards and pool.
A service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at the Stettler Funeral Home in Stettler, Alta. on Fri. June 7, 2024 at 11 a.m.
