Wilfred Leo Sieger
1923 – 2022
Wilfred Leo Sieger was born on March 19, 1923 in Coronation, Alta. to Leo and Josephine (nee Wood) Sieger. In 1952 Wilf married a beautiful local lady, Doris Bargholz and to this union came four beautiful children.
Wilf and Doris remained in Coronation working the fields and raising their children while contributing to community and keeping much honour, humour and joyful stories a part of each day.
Wilf’s marriage to Doris flourished and they were the proud grandparents of 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Wilf passed away on Mon. Oct. 10, 2022 at the age of 99 years.
Wilf will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family; Weslie (Joanne † 2019) Sieger and their family: Misty (Conrad), Garrett (Kayla), Ellie and Westyn, Makenna (Nick), Maverick and Nora, Makenzie, Robyn, Shayla, Tacey and Mylee, Logan (Kelsey), Seth, Brooklyn, Jayda and Deken, Ashley (Dustin), Cienna and Elise; Marina (Bill) Schmidt and their family: Kerri, Madison and Gage, Raina, Reid, Krista, Quynn and Hayden, Jace (Vanessa), Isadora; Colleen Taylor and her family: Damon (Jenica), Ciara, Brooke (Chris); Danny (JoAnn) Sieger and their family: Danielle (Jordan), Koby (Taylor) and Jensen, Jenna, and Chelsey (Kaydunn).
Also his brother-in-law, Bud (Jean) Bargholz, many extended family and friends.
Wilf was predeceased by his wife, Doris in 2016; his daughter-in-law, Joanne in 2019; as well as his siblings, and sisters and brothers-in-law.
A funeral service took place Mon. Oct. 17, 2022, at Coronation Community Hall with Pastor Al Richardson officiating and time of refreshments to follow. Interment will follow at a later date at Coronation Cemetery.
