Albert Sieger was born to Anthony and Justina Sieger on Oct. 31, 1945, at the Coronation Hospital. Albert was the youngest child in the family of three. Doreen was Albert’s older sister and Milton his older brother.
Albert was loved and cherished by his family and was raised on the family farm near Brownfield, Alta. on SE ¼ 23-38-10-W4. Albert completed his schooling at Brownfield with many fond memories of teachers and fellow students.
His father Antone died after a surgery in Edmonton, leaving Albert and his mother to run the farm. Doreen married Almer Bullee and moved to the Alliance area to raise their family.
Albert loved his farm, raising crops and cattle. He became a relatively skilled mechanic. He enjoyed fixing old trucks and tractors and getting them to run just right.
Albert loved to hunt moose on mountain hunting trips with neighbours and friends.
He was known for his rice pudding which all enjoyed. Gardening and sharing produce were a passion for Albert.
A wonderful thing happened to Albert on April 10, 1999, he met and married Emma Annable in the Philippines. The two did everything together including visiting friends, camping, auction sales, rummage sales, and packing boxes to send to Emma’s family in the Philippines. Emma was riding with him combining his last crop of barley when heart failure took his life.
One very important part of Albert’s life story. In the 1980’s, Albert purchased a Versatile tractor from Marvin Germo in Coronation. He received much more than a tractor, he received the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They studied the Bible together; Albert confessed his sin before God and asked Christ to be his Lord and Saviour.
Albert often spoke about this with tears and joy! Scripture says that “Eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, nor the mind conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him”, I Corinthians 2:9. Praise God.
Albert is survived his loving wife Emma of 24 years; sister Doreen (Elmer) Bullee; nephews: Charles (Niki) Bullee and their children Cole, Kadey and Sydney, Kevin (Kimberly) Bullee and their children Tyler (Cassidy), Kirkland, Mackenzie (Blake) and Raven and Glen (Sherry) Bullee; great great nephews James and Beauden; Emma’s niece Angelia Libaste (Arnel) of Cochrane, Alta. and all of Emma’s family in the Philippines.
Albert was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Justina Sieger and his brother Milton.
