It’s the statistics that make a Seniors Outreach annual general meeting (AGM) so interesting.
At this year’s session, the 2017 review shows impressive numbers—155 volunteers, 9,556 volunteer hours, and over 13,000 requests for service.
Seniors Outreach, a 23-year-old Three Hills-based social service organization, assists Kneehill County seniors and families.
The AGM, held in the society’s drop in center on Tues. June 5, saw Brian Richard and Daniel Pliva elected to the board of directors.
Board chair Rhoda Murray reviewed major society initiatives and lead administrator Terry Schlinker made special comment on newspaper publisher Tim Shearlaw’s fundraising effort that realized more than $60,000 to help the organization meet its financial direction and goals.
Seniors Outreach, a community-based, non-profit organization, employs two community relations coordinators—Lorna Steeves is responsible for Trochu, Torrington, Wimborne, and Huxley, while Sherry Berry’s territory covers Acme, Carbon, and Linden.
