The Theresetta Knights had a very successful basketball season this year!
The girls were ranked number one in their C.A.R.A. (Clearview and Region Athletics) league and advanced to the CWAJHAA (Central Western Alberta Junior High Athletic Association) regional tournament in Rocky Mountain House.
The Theresetta Knights were undefeated this year in league play which featured games against Brownfield, Gus Wetter in Castor, Coronation, Veteran and Consort.
They placed first in three tournaments: the Consort Stingers Tournament, the Stettler Wildcats Tournament, and their own home tournament.
The team also played exhibition games against Hanna, Forestburg, Killam and Sedgewick.
At CWAJHAA on March 9 and 10, the girls started the tournament with an intense game against Bentley where the Knights won 41 to 40. The next day, the Knights defeated St. Matthew’s School from Rocky Mountain House.
The Knights played Lacombe Christian in the championship game and fell short against an excellent team placing the Theresetta Knights in second place.
After an excellent basketball season, the Theresetta Knights are incredibly excited for next year.
