Henry Schiffner
Henry Schiffner, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 92 on Jan. 14, 2024 at the Stettler Hospital.
He was born Oct. 2, 1931 in Bassano, Alta. and lived near Cluny, Alta. until his family moved to the Stettler area in 1941. He attended both Blumenau and Botha schools until 1947.
Careers included farm hand, logger, furniture store clerk, oilfield and gas worker, bus driver and farmer which was his favourite, before retiring in 2000.
He resided on his beloved farm for 63 years where he mixed farmed, raised six children with his wife Laura of 57 years, and enjoyed his retirement.
Funeral services and celebration of life will be held Sun. Jan. 21, 1 p.m. at the Stettler Funeral Home with luncheon to follow.
