Rookie baseball champions

The ​Battle River Minor Ball Rookie league started their season at the beginning of May with nine teams in the rookie catagory.

The teams were from Killam, Czar, Daysland, Forestburg, Viking, two teams from Provost and two teams from Sedgewick.

The Daysland rookie team was unstoppable this season with seven wins and zero loses in regular season and playoff games.

Daysland captured the rookie championship over Sedgewick Two on June 14 in Daysland and won 8 – 2. ​
