Rollover near Acme leads to one death, one seriously injured

The RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle rollover of a pickup truck that occurred the evening of Oct. 1, 2020.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., a pickup truck was southbound on Highway 806 between Acme and Beiseker, when it lost control and rolled several times, ejecting the male occupant.  

The 30-year-old female driver from Acme, Alta., was airlifted via STARS to a Calgary hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The 34-year-old male passenger from Calgary was declared deceased at the scene.

A search of the immediate area was conducted by Fire personnel, Police and the RCMP Police Dog Services to ensure there were no other passengers injured in the collision. 

Beiseker RCMP along with an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
