William (Bill) Robusky passed away on Nov. 9, 2024 at the age of 100 years.

Bill was born at the homestead near Reist, Alta. on Sept. 20, 1924, the first born of Alex and Rosie Rubusky.

He attended Burns School for primary grades getting to school driving a horse and two–wheel cart until the winter when the cart was changed for a sleigh. This daily trek of 3.5 miles cross country included five gates which he would have to stop and open to go through and close before he could continue.

His high school years were spent at Youngstown High School where he had to board at the school dormitory.

He spent his life as a farmer until his retirement in 2009 when he moved to Coronation, Alta. He spent his last 8.5 years in assisted living in the Coronation Care Centre.

William is survived by siblings Edna (Rubusky) Benstead and Raymond Carl Walter Robusky; nephews and niece: Jim Wilkinson, Cliff Wilkinson, Randy Rubusky, Stanley Rubusky, Thomas James, Allan Robusky, Randy Herold and Ronda (Rubusky) Sabourin; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

William was predeceased by parents Alexander and Rosie (Dybak) Rubusky; siblings: Lenora Rubusky, Mary (Rubusky) James, John Rubusky, Joseph Rubusky, Alice Paulette (Rubusky) Woods; nephew David E Herold and niece Shannon Gayle (Robusky) Toll.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Senkiw Cemetery, Special Area No. 4. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Golden Age Drop in Centre, Coronation, Alta.
