Ray Rindal

July 26, 1944 – January 31, 2014

Raymond Allan Rindal passed away quietly with his family by his side on January 31, 2014 at the age of 69 in the Coronation Hospital.

Ray was born July 26, 1944 in Didsbury, Alberta, second child of Eva and Joe Rindal. He spent his formative years in the Harmattan area and completed his schooling there.

While travelling with work Ray met the love of his life, Mary Ann Woods of Big Valley. They were married on May 7, 1965 and to this union two children were born Keith (1968) and Michele (1969). Ray and Mary did a little travelling with work and in 1972 came to Coronation.

He came to work for Corvet Construction and worked there for 18 years before starting his own business, Rindal Oilfield Construction in 1988.

Ray enjoyed trail riding out west with his brother and friends, collecting antique machinery, camping but most of all Ray enjoyed his family.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Mary of 48 years, son Keith of Coronation; daughter Michele (Laurie) Devey of Bonnyville and grandchildren Kyle of Cold Lake, Cara and Conner of Bonnyville; sister Janette Pankow, brother Norman (Mary) both of Olds; brothers-in-law Ken Woods of Wetaskiwin, Gary (Norma) Woods of Coronation; numerous nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends.

Ray was predeceased by his mother and father, Eva and Joe; brother, Wayne; sister Evelyn; brother-in-law Steve Pankow; nephew Kent Pankow; brother-in-law Joe Wark; mother and father-in-law Leo and Marion Woods and brother-in-law Ted Woods.

His family will miss him greatly.

The family of Ray wishes to thank everyone for their love and support following his passing. The visits, phone calls, food, cards, flowers and donations are deeply appreciated. Your overwhelming support has helped us through this difficult time.

We are deeply grateful for the care Ray (Dad) received from Dr. Thompson, nurses and staff at Coronation Hospital.

We would like to thank Rev. Sue Hertell for the beautiful service, Derek Woods for helping us share memories and stories, Marlene and Barbie for the special music and the Coronation Lunch Committee for the lovely lunch.
