Renovation plans for Hanna Community Centre

Town of Hanna Community Services Board is encouraging interested individuals to attend the Community Centre Community Consultation Open House later this month.
Representation from MPE Engineering and FWBA Architects will be joining members of the Community Services Board to be on hand to discuss the proposals and gain additional input from the public in this “come and go” format.
MPE Consultants will be reviewing the proposals with a presentation for those who may wish to attend a focused discussion.
Those attending are asked to provide their thoughts and suggestions on the proposed options.
Two options are being presented for consideration as the renovation plans for the Community Centre. Both options will focus upon updating and modernizing the kitchen and washroom facilities. Option A involves renovations within the existing footprint of the facility while Option B proposes an addition to the facility.
The plans being presented have been developed as a direct result of a community survey, user group discussions and meetings and discussions with members of Town Council.
Community Services Board member volunteers also travelled to several community centres in the area to assist in the planning.
Hanna Community Centre was constructed in 1986 through the efforts of a group of local citizens. It has been well-utilized by the community since opening.
