Several complaints of vandalism to parked vehicles from individuals in the towns of Trochu and Three Hills were received by Three Hills RCMP on December 18 and 19, 2013.
RCMP members initiated an investigation and found that nine vehicles parked at residences were affected and were subject to windows smashed out, graffiti written on the vehicle or both. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 13 year old male suspect and a 20 year old male suspect, both from Three Hills.
The suspects were charged with a total of 18 counts of mischief under $5000 and seven counts of theft under $5000. The adult was released from custody and the youth remained in custody at time of media release.
A search warrant was executed on a rural residence in the Consort district on December 23, 2013.
Members of the Consort RCMP Detachment arrested one male occupant without incident. The male was subsequently charged with several firearms offences and was released.
