Quast Family Reunion 2018 was held at the Hanna Community Centre on the weekend of August 4 – 6 hosted by the John and the Lydia Quast family whose homestead was in the Spondin area.
All eight children of John and Lydia are still together ranging in age from 77 to 93, and still all in good health. The register was signed by 112 and all enjoyed beef on a bun supper Sat. Aug. 4. Sunday morning a nice brunch was prepared by the young people.
Much visiting and reminiscing with family members who came from British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
A horseshoe tournament was enjoyed by many, along with golfing and swimming at the pool. Some danced while a live local band played.
Both days were filled with fun-filled games and Piñatas for the children. Three door prizes were handed out.
Thank you to everyone who posted online messages, those who helped with the setup and clean up and the meals. To our “Gophers” for running to gather up what we needed and everyone who helped in any way.
We said our good-byes with plans already in our minds for the next reunion. God’s blessing for health and happiness. Till we meet again.
