Provost RCMP execute search warrant, arrest made

Provost RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in the 5200 block of 52 street in Provost.

On April 17, 2019, police received a call of a domestic violence assault that occurred at the residence.

During the investigation, police suspected the residence had drugs and stolen property inside.

On April 18, 2019 Provost RCMP executed a search warrant on the property and recovered a number of stolen items, drug paraphernalia, knives and a number of computers.

Police also seized what was believed to be Methamphetamine and Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB)

Joseph Driscoll (30) of Provost, Alberta has been charged with: Possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the purpose of trafficking Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), Possession of Cocaine, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x6, Assault with a weapon x2, Assault x2, Forcible Confinement x3 and Utter Threats x7.

Driscoll was held for a hearing and has been remanded in custody for court on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Bonnyville, Alberta.
