Provost’s Tai Ki Chung and Okjin An are basking in a $250,000 windfall after taking home the top prize on a $10 CROSSWORD LUXURY EDITION ZING ticket they scratched in mid-July.

Chung said his reaction to the couple’s win was one of gratitude – “I thought ‘Thank you!’” he recalled with a laugh when claiming the prize in late August.

Chung had picked up the ticket for him and his wife at the IGA at 5003 50th Avenue in Provost in the afternoon on July 11 and took it back to work to scratch it.

He was soon back out the door though – when he saw the ticket was a winner he dashed out to a nearby gas station to use their ticket checker and confirm their win.

Chung says the couple has no particular plans for their newly claimed prize at this point – just to put it in the bank for now.
