Preston, Archibald Thomas

Archibald Thomas Preston was born in Coronation on April 19, 1921.  He passed away after a brief illness in Coronation on Saturday, November 20, 2010 with his family by his side.  He will be lovingly remembered by his three sons; Garry (Lindia) of Drayton Valley; Tom (Colleen) of Innisfail; Bill of Red Deer; three daughters Connie (Wayne) Glasier of Coronation; Jo-Anne (Garth) Fawcett of Haynes, Alberta and Brenda Holzer of Red Deer.  Also 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  
He was predeceased by his loving wife Gerry; his parents Jack and Florence; sisters Verna and Emily; brother John; son Bruce and grandson Steven.  He attended school at Junction Valley, Silver Heights in Coronation and high school in Turner Valley.  His interests included school board trustee, mixed farming with Black Angus and Charolais cattle, bull and bronc riding, custom combining, crib playing, realtor, gardening, and wine making and he loved being with his family.  Our heartfelt thanks to Wayne for being there when he needed him on Tuesday, Piper Creek Lodge staff, Coronation Assisted Living staff and Long Term Care in Coronation where he was treated with respectful care and dignity.
