Drumheller RCMP General Investigative Services (GIS), in conjunction with the Drumheller Institution, Correctional Service of Canada, have concluded a number of Controlled Drugs and Substance and Cannabis Act investigations between August and September relating to the seizure of drugs at the Drumheller Institution, located on Hwy. 9 in Drumheller.
On Aug. 21, 2023, staff at Correctional Service Canada’s Drumheller Institution located methamphetamine, which was seized by Drumheller RCMP.
As a result of the investigation, Drumheller GIS have charged Daniel Graham (29) with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
As a result of another investigation on Aug. 29, Drumheller GIS have charged Tyler Mykat (38) with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Another investigation on Aug. 29 resulted in Drumheller GIS charging Jaskaran Sidhu (24) with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
As a result of an investigation on Sept. 5, Drumheller GIS have charged Rami Hagos (28) with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and MDMA.
A court date of Nov. 24, 2023, at Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller was set for all the above charged.
RCMP and the Correctional Service of Canada will continue to jointly investigate any and all offences in and near the institution.
