Dear Editor,
Having grown up in eastern Ontario, I have followed the milk situation in the U.S.A. and especially in Wisconsin. Trump’s determined to sell or send the surplus milk to Ontario, possibly a pipeline to Toronto?
For two years no one has spoken of the simplicity to regulate this situation.
Neither Mr. Trump, nor any member of the Senate or the House, neither Mr. Trudeau nor any member of Parliament, neither any writers in newspapers have arrived at this simple solution.
Every American who voted for Mr. Trump should be required to drink one more glass of milk a day. Problem finished.
Governments claim not to subsidize farmers. Farmers milking 125 cows are now milking 500 cows. Farmers milking 500 cows are now milking 1000 cows with no provision made for the surplus.
