Linda Louise (Nixon) Norlie was born April 24, 1951 in Stettler, Alta. and passed away suddenly in Calgary, Alta. on April 9, 2023.
She was the fourth of seven children born to Dave and Betty Nixon. She was raised on the family farm at Byemoor and attended Grades 1-11 at Byemoor School. After graduation, she took a secretarial course in Calgary and then worked at the Foothills Hospital.
Linda married Bill Bramfield in 1971 and lived in Calgary and area for a time before moving back to the family farm in Craigmyle. Bill passed away suddenly and Linda continued to farm with help from her dad and family members.
She married Larry Norlie (children Clint and Karla) in 1984 and moved to his farm a few miles away from the Bramfield homestead.
Linda will be remembered for her love of family and work ethic which definitely showed in her house and beautiful yard. She was a faithful, hardworking member of the groups she volunteered with, including the Craigmyle Historical Society.
She leaves behind, her husband Larry, sons and families: Mark and Amanda (Bradley, Nate and Sloan), Alec and Roxanne (Ally); stepchildren: Clint and Michelle (Kali, Garret, Logan, Mia, Rachel and Lily), Karla and family.
She will be terribly missed by her siblings: Wayne and Loree Nixon and family, Pat and Stan Hansen and family, Dale and Carol Nixon and family, Wanda and Don Wilkie and family, Terry and Anne Nixon and family, and Dave and Lynne Nixon and family; brother-in-law Jim and Marylin Norlie and family; special nieces and nephews as well as numerous relatives, extended family, friends and acquaintances.

Linda was a country girl; happiest in the outdoors, attending to her lawn and flower beds and helping out whoever needed a hand. She was deeply loved and will be missed for all she was and all she did.
