Curtis Scheler (left) and Forestburg Fire Chief Kevin Lunty accepts $350 from 12-year-old Andrea Glasier. ECA Review/Submitted
Twelve-year-old Andrea Glasier used her talent as a way to support the Forestburg Fire Department and honour her Uncle Rick Scheler, who was a member of the department.
Andrea made beautiful handmade greeting cards and sold them raising $350.
She has previously donated money to the Ronald McDonald House.
Her idea of raising money for the department came about when Rick passed away a year ago, and the family had chosen the fire department as one of the recipients of donations.
She knew how important the local department was to Rick.
