New pastor for Hardisty-Hughenden United Churches

Paul Allard is the new pastor for the Hardisty-Hughenden United Churches. Raised in Kirkland Lake, Ont., he grew up a French Roman Catholic and spent the next 24 years as a telecom technician. He joined the “much more progressive and justice-oriented” United Church of Canada, stated Allard in his bio, and was formerly recognized as a Designated Lay Minister. Allard served three years in Little Current and Sheguiandah Pastoral Charge on Manitoulin Island, Ont. before accepting this post in Alberta.
