New offerings at Badlands Community Facility

(Drumheller, AB, September 14, 2012) – Up until now, the Badlands Community Facility has been limited with the amount of activities offered to members. Through August however, the program staff have been hard at work, consulting with instructors and developing a new schedule. Starting in September, the Badlands Community Facility has a whole new array of classes, leagues and development programs available to the community.
“We are thrilled with the way in which activities and programs have come together over the past month,” says Lyle Rowe, Program Specialist at the Badlands Community Facility. “Potential leaders have been secured during this time, turning ideas into structured opportunities. There is a wide diversity of activities for children, youth, adults and seniors. We believe the community will fully support and participate in the new offering throughout this fall and winter.”

The new offerings include workshops, leagues, leadership and volunteer opportunities and numerous classes from badminton to leadership development to dance.
As the Badlands Community Facility moves forward, the expectation is to maintain and expand on opportunities for all ages. If you have any suggestions on other activities that could be introduced, please contact Lyle Rowe at 403-823-1369 or lrowe@dinosaurvalley.com. The Badlands Community Facility is a multi-use centre where people of all ages can come to compete, learn, exercise, relax, meet and celebrate the vitality of life. With a brand new library, a three court field house, a two- level fitness centre, meeting rooms, a banquet hall for up to 500 people and a large commercial kitchen, the new Badlands Community Facility is the envy of many other communities around the province.
